Meet Phil Devitt, who joined at the start of November in 2017 as a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer. Phil has extensive experience having previously worked as an Assistant Mineral Surveyor for Gerald Eve LLP in Leeds, has been employed as a Geologist working in the commercial and residential development sector and more recently, Phil has worked as an Acting Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer based at a Derbyshire consultancy which has given him a good grounding for his current position at Ivy House Environmental Ltd.
Phil’s main responsibilities at Ivy House include Phase I & II reports, coal mining risk assessments, mentoring junior staff and liaising with clients and regulators.
After reflecting on his experience at Ivy House, Phil said “My favourite aspect of working at Ivy House is mentoring junior staff as they are always eager to learn. This also allows for personal growth as they often have different outlooks on projects from being fairly new to the industry.”
